Are there any good sony camcorders that take pictures as good as cameras.

I am interested in photography and am looking into a digital SLR camera. Right now I have my eye on a KODAK Z7 IS Digital Camera with a 60x zoom. Is this a good camera or not? If not what is a good camera that is not too expensive that is digi and slr?
