I’ll show you from raw footage all the way through to finished product what to look for when you are filming and simple techniques on how to turn your raw footage into gold when you are editing. I am using Final Cut Pro 6 but the techniques are simple enough to use with any half decent editing program.
Already discovered that I can’t use Windows Movie Maker with the format that the video is captured with on the Sony Handycam, unless I go thru a very lengthy and bulky conversion procedure that I don’t have time for. Would like to know if anyone else owns a Sony Handycam camcorder (particularly a DCR-SR45 model) and what digital video editing program they use to create movies with audio, transitions, effects, etc.

Any ideas where I might get experience or more education so I can start out on my own and leave my current job? Anyone familiar with this software or have any tips for me?
