I just edited a short film in Final Cut Pro for the first time, but would like to add sound effects like wind and some music, but have no idea how. I know from a friend that its much easier to do it through Imovie. Any way to convert that file to imovie or add sound effects without buying a new program? Thank you!!!

I have imported a few songs (m4p files) from my itunes library onto a project I’m working on, on Final Cut Pro. However once I download the songs and render the audio I don’t hear anything. In the past I’ve used audio in my projects. However, if I remember correctly they were all MP3 files. Does this mean I have to convert my m4p files to MP3s to use them on Final Cut Pro?

I have a file that I am wanting to import into Final Cut Pro, but I am reading in various places that it cannot be done. Anyone know if this is true? And if you can’t, how can you convert it to be FCP compatible?
