Kodak Guide to 35mm Photography: Techniques for Better Pictures

I just bought a Canon Eos Rebel xsi with a Canon 28-135 zoom 35mm ultrasonic lens and I am wanting to take some indoor pics and I have no clue what would be a good flash to buy? I need something affordable, but is a decent flash!

I am currently a student in a photography class, and I need a camera that you can manually set the shutter speed and the lens opening. Does the Canon EOS Rebel TI 35mm SLR camera have the manual settings for the shutter speed and lens opening?

My son just started a photography class at school. He came home telling me I need to get him a 35mm film camera. I was shocked because I can’t believe anybody still uses film. It’s so inconvenient, and costly.

Either way, I have my own theories as to why they’d teach photography with a 35mm camera, but I’d like to know what you think. Especially, if you’re a photographer or teach photography, I’d be really curious to hear your opinions.
