Can you use a sony hard drive camcorder with Pinnacle video editing program?.?

I recently got a sony camcorder and would like to edit the video.I was wondering if anyone has had any luck using a Pinnacle editing program?.Thanks for any help you might have.

It depends on your edition of software if it supports your camcorder. You may have to update your software.
