I’m using this cord with a Canon Xsi and when I first started using it I had no problems. After shooting with it a little while I’ve noticed that it is causing a problem with my display. The display shuts off intermittently and then it doesn’t allow me to make FStop or aperature adjustments because it transitions out of adjustment mode too quickly after I release the shutter button. I’m not sure if it is a problem with the cord or my camera because I had these problems once before but it went away till I got this cord. Also, it might be a problem with the battery charge but I really didn’t think about it until last night and I haven’t had a chance to test my therory.

After reading the reviews and not wanting to spend twice as much for the Canon cord I ordered the Opteka to use with my new 270EX speedlite. The camera does not recognize this cord at all. It recognizes the speedlite when mounted on the hot shoe, so I know that is not the problem. Very disappointing.

This item never worked once for me. In addition I used it on two canon cameras, not only did it not work in either, but also hence forth both cameras no longer recognise my flash unit! Buy at your own risk!

After reading multiple reviews here on Amazon, I decided to take the chance and purchase a non-Canon sync-cord and I’m glad I did. For about half the price, this cord looks and feels very durable. The sensor locks in place on the flash shoe and never has it misfired. I use it extensively when shooting events and with my real estate photography. I recommmend it highly.

works very fine! the only complain, the description says it (Extends up to 6.5 Feet), I barely could extend it for 3 feet… it is short.
the high speed sync is perfect! works as advertised…
