A little disappointing. There are some interesting photos but as was mentioned earlier in another user review the best is on the cover with a few others smattered throughout. Overall just “good” though, not great.

I think there are a lot of books on the subject matter better than this one. The images are competent, but not particularly inspirational. What I’m a bit concerned about is that would-be nude photographers will take these images as types of work to aspire to, in other words, imitate them rather than find their own vision and creative self in doing the work. Also, this is supposed to be a book about photographers’ own favorites. But photographers have various reasons for having a favorite, and it might not necessarily be because it’s their ‘best’ work. Taking a look at the images is OK, but I wouldn’t pay retail for a book that I looked through once, and then just left on my bookshelf (which is what I did).

Truth be told, there’s nothing in this book that one could consider cutting edge or innovative. However, this photographer does offer is a sharp eye for combining beautiful poses with beautiful women. I am a collector of erotica photography and feel comfortable having this book on my living room table. While some photos feel more inspired than others, overall, I feel as though this book is a great contribution to the genre.

If you appreciate art and not porn pawned off as art this is the book for you. This was an artist’s rendering of the zenith of the female body. Its poise, stature, epics, and glory all recorded in a journal as it may be named. The shadowing and lighting is ideal for affect. The models are great and seem to also be ideal for their surroundings and settings. This is a very inspiring book.

My Nude (Photography)
The standard of photographs was very high and the book was well bound.
There is a good variety of styles in both colour and B&W. I would like to have seen a description, rationale and the intent of the image described by photographers.
