I liked the instructional/assignment approach. Although already an accomplished fine art nude photographer, I like the stimulation provided by the author to attempt new approaches to a familiar subject.

I have not studied it in detail but it is clearly writtern and provides good workshop type demonstrations which a photographer could apply just as well to clothed subjects.
I wish you would expand this format to all other types of photography. I like the nude but am mostly interested in other types of clearly written material.
It is an excellent book and is erotic withoug being suggestive.

I’ve always wanted to try out nude photography and decided on this book to start out with. Not only does it have awesome tutorials, but it has model selection, lighting and camera tips, as well as post-processing tips. It is laid out exceptionally well with lots of great example photographs and graphics. While it covers mostly nude photography of women, it does cover photographing men as well. This is perfect “get started” reading if you are looking for the art of photography and the nude.
